These trails are designed for you to taste, enjoy and learn about different wine regions, and the traditional foods that typically pair with them.
NYC Wine & Food Trails is powered by Gastro Tours, a culinary travel company.
Gastro Tours is a dynamic food and wine travel project which promotes the exploration of cultures and people through local, gastronomic and wine-related experiences.
I started Gastro Tours in 2012, after having lived in Spain for 10 years and entertaining numerous friends and family across the country on unique food and wine experiences.
I became a certified sommelier through the Masters Court of Sommeliers in 2014 and WSET Advanced Certified in 2017. During my years as a retail associate in a boutique wine store and a sales representative for a French wholesaler and distributor, I met countless winemakers and proprietors of small, family owned vineyards with the simple principle of creating something through passion and love, with the utmost respect for nature and appreciation for terroir.
This lead me to further this personal project of mine - Gastro Tours - and began connecting with local food and wine experts across the world, including small, boutique wineries and local food tours in major wine growing regions.
I hope you enjoy these experiences as much as I do and fully immerse yourself in the culture of a place.

We were running late and Tatiana was extremely understanding and accommodating. She was so knowledgable, kind and inviting. We had patatas bravas and paella at Socarrat along with two wines. The owner of the restaurant even came out and introduced himself to us. After that we went to the Spanish wine shop next to Despaña. We tried two wines and had two tapas there. Everything was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time! -

Both this course and Tatiana (the teacher) were FANTASTIC. Tatiana was super knowledge, engaging and overall incredibly lovely. She did a fantastic job explaining the wine and the pairings and augmenting the experience with additional facts and anecdotes of her own travels and she did a great job including everyone and getting all members to really engage in the tastings. Each location was intimate and perfect for the small group size. The wine store location was awesome and the folks working there added their own expertise to the tour and it made for a really great experience where you could also purchase affordable and unique wines. The last stop had phenomenal tapas and was a delicious way to end the day. I would 100% recommend this class and will absolutely be taking others! -

The class was so much fun! There were 4 of us, 5 including Tatiana. We met at the designated location point and started of down the block. The different wines and tapas we tasted throughout were great, it the owners/workers at the locations interact with you which makes it even better. Tatiana is very knowledgeable and she makes the class interactive instead of just spewing facts. Highly recommend taking this tour; 14/10. And the walking was fine even with crowds for anyone turned off by the tour part.
