Kids at Work was created in Manhattan in 2007 by early childhood educator Julie Averill. Started as one Saturday art class operating out of the Village Preschool Center on W10th Street, Kids at Work, now located at 242 W27th Street, has grown into one of Chelsea's best kept secrets - a community of children, parents and caregivers making real discoveries together.
Kids at Work classes are focused on educational best practices, including ideas taken from the Bank Street and Montessori systems, such as process-oriented and confidence-building, choice driven activities. Perhaps most interesting is Kids at Work's flexible drop-in policy, making it truly unlike any other program. Try out a Kids at Work class and see the difference! It was very nice, however woudl be nicer to have more structurized play and more active play, then just messing around with the balls.
I may suggest to use litel cones without tops and ask each child to keep in line to run over the cone and place ball on his/her foot, per example ,then score into a particular gate side. More discipline and more sports. Also needs to get better song about soccer general rules :no hand play. Something which I have observed and loved on our session with Super Soccer Star coach, who gave plain commands and multileveled tasks, like run sidways and score the ball in a particular gate, then walk backwards and place little flag into the emply cone top. That would just add awsomeness into the game and give more excercise to brain and less chaos in the group.
Also, the room isn't prepared for the wrm ups. No "coconuts" in order for every child to choose his color and to claim his place for a serious warm up. (which is not a warm up at the moment. Needs more strets with rhymes and catchy tones, then we did).
I do not criticise. Just kind wishes, in hope it will add and we will enjoy it (too) with the rest.

incomparesement to incredible energy and true soccer routine of Soccer Stars, this one was not so much loved by my baby. We have booked one more session, in hope, if somethig may go differently and better. Maybe the second time be more positive and less boring. (too many sitting ups, to many blah blah and no real soccer player on field).

the music is just too loud and the songs are less familliar for toddlers to follow, but the instructor - very positive energetic lady, who knows how to make it her way in directional play with tots. We will try it more in half a year.
