Angelique Velez was born and raised in New York, but when she decided what she was passionate about, she moved to Miami where she received a BA in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of Miami. Since her return back to New York, she attained her master’s in Creative Arts Therapy at Hofstra University. Angelique leads the Chic Studios NYC - Studio of Makeup Artistry 4 Week Professional Makeup Artistry day program. Angelique has enjoyed the journey of her career thus far, and has had the pleasure of working with cosmetics companies such as Tony & Tina, Anna Sui and MAC Cosmetics as well as serving as the Director of Career Services at Make-up Designory in New York City. Within the makeup industry, she has worked on many fashion shows such as, Cynthia Steffe, Peter Som, Karen Walker, RAD by Rad Hourani and more. As well, Angelique has been side by side with leading artists such as Christian McCulloch, Yuko Takahashi, Ve Neill, Makky and Tom Pecheux. She is passionate about applying her counseling background and her knowledge of make-up artistry, technique, and success to help others achieve their career and passionate goals.
