Solange Roberdeau

Teaches at Textile Arts Center

A native Californian, Solange Baker Roberdeau attended the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence where she received a BFA in Printmaking in 2005. While an undergraduate, she was awarded entrance to the RISD European Honors Program in Rome as well as interned at the Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center on Maui with master printer, Paul Mullowney. Upon graduating she moved to Oaxaca, MX where she lived and worked before relocating to New York City in 2007. She is currently based in Brooklyn, NY and is an MFA candidate at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in the summer low-residency MFAST program in Baltimore, Maryland. Solange currently works as a professional studio assistant for painters Robert Kushner and Yvonne Jacquette, and teaches screen printing at the Textile Art Center in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
