Mamie is a chef instructor, caterer, sake sommelier and food stylist. Her company, Japanese Cooking Studio, dose Japanese cooking classes privately, in cooking schools and at Sur La Table. Her new company, Gotta Eat Sweets, promotes such items as “Truffipops/Truffibites”- a sublime fusion of truffle and brownie, even offered in a gluten free version. Truffipops/Truffibites was recently featured in Gluten Free Living magazine and Ladies Home Journal on line.

Beginner Sushi is a wonderful introduction to the history, ingredients and art of making sushi! Mamie is an excellent teacher...very systematic and clear. She has a lot of tips and tricks to share. I loved the hands-on aspect of the class... Making my very first Sushi roll was an incredible experience!
