Dave Demke

Teaches at Linklater Center

Dave Demke is a Designated Linklater Teacher who has taught voice, acting, and movement for Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts as well as at Boston University, Emerson College, Brandeis University, and Skidmore College. In addition he has taught at various companies and institutions including Tecumseh, Dallas Shakespeare Festival, and Corning Community College. He has also acted and/or directed with Shakespeare & Company, Purdue University, the 8th Street Theatre Project in New York City, New Rose Theatre and Tygres Heart Shakespeare Theatre in Portland, Oregon, among others. From 1992 to 2000 he was the Artistic Director of Stark Raving Theatre in Portland, Oregon. Dave studied Meisner with Fred Kareman and Larry Silverberg.
