YogaProse: A Full Day Retreat Using Your Yoga Practice to Write Your Story
Spark Your Health presents an in-person combination yoga and writing workshop, providing a blended experience of play and work, with yoga teacher and writer, Jennifer Lang.
The day-long urban retreat will be divided into three sessions, each of which will include breath work, movement, meditation, and writing exercises. During our time together, we will explore how using the body, focusing the breath, emptying the mind, and how practicing physical poses can help us be more observant in our daily lives, which helps enrich our writing. Participants can expect to engage in pranayama exercises, meditation, guided yoga poses and plenty of writing exercises and games to spark inspiration.
This program is for intermediate yoga practitioners. It is open to anyone who journals, yearns to write, or wrestles with writing, feels blocked or craves inspiration.
Takeaways:
Yoga mats and fruit will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat, water, snacks or lunch for the mid-day break, and dress comfortably. It is recommended to bring your own notebook or journal for this session, but paper and pens will be provided as needed.
