This class was a survey class, going through some different approaches to drawing. I never felt like I improved, as we kept switching approaches. It was interesting to try things, but wasn’t helpful as someone looking for critical feedback. Good for folks looking to shake things up, not for total beginners. -

I think it would've been helpful to have a little more individual criticism by the teacher though. she could spend a few seconds or minutes throughout each class to give individualized observations to help the student improve on their weaknesses. Acrylic Painting Basics
I've been drawing forever, but have always wanted to try my hand at painting – I just don't know anything about techniques and wanted a space to explore and learn the basics. This class is just what I was looking for! It has a relaxed, not-too-structured vibe because the class is quite small (I've taken it twice now and have been one of 3 students both times). If you're looking for something super rigorous this may not be it, but if you're looking to work on your skills in a low-pressure environment with a teacher who will personalize assignments to you, you won't be disappointed :) Zach is a wonderful artist and encouraging teacher with an encyclopedic knowledge of both art history and the more contemporary scene. -

Eric was a really great instructor. Really enjoyed the workshop. Eric was extremely knowledgeable, but also laid back and very friendly- a nice combination for a teacher. I think the class should be no more than 6 people or there should be a larger area to work in. Wish there were a workshop to work on a little larger format as an intermediate step. -
