What you'll learn in this bread class:

Come learn about the sweeter side of bread baking! In this crave-worthy class, our Artisan Bakers share surprisingly simple methods for producing rich buttery Brioche and deliciously delicate Challah.

Create hands-on classic braided shapes and much more! Your fragrant, golden, loaves will be the absolutely “toast” of the town!

After the deliciousness, the class will divide the day’s bake to take home.


School Notes:
Upon arrival, please be seated in the area marked “RESERVED FOR BAKING CLASS” that is directly outside of the classroom. The Instructor will gather all students when the class is to begin. Please do not walk into the classroom until called.

Chef Dawn was amazing. She shared general baking tips in addition to explaining the bread baking process. She also provided constructive feedback so I could improve my technique. We baked a variety of goodies all which I sampled and took home.

This class was more of a bread “shaping” class. We were given dough to shape and a short description of the fermentation process. We did not gather ingredients, mix ingredients nor were we included in the actual oven-baking of the bread. The instructor set timers on his own, rotated the batches of bread on his own, and pulled them out of the oven on his own. This instructor was not very encouraging and gave very little “instruction” unless a query was directly made regarding him specifically or the bread baking process. While the bread baked, we were left on our own while he cleaned up. In my experience, the role of instructor is to encourage and mentor the less informed learner or student. I don’t feel this instructor succeeded in doing this. I cannot recommend this class.

The Braided bread class was very informative and fun but, ì would have liked a little more hands on when it came to preparing ingredients/dough. Will definitely take another class there though.
